Traffic Control Update!

McQueen Road is open! Please expect upcoming traffic control at the intersection of Queen Creek Road and McQueen Road. One lane each way will be maintained along project. Please be cautious for traffic control changes that are made to accommodate construction.

Project Description

This project will widen McQueen Road to six lanes between Queen Creek and Ocotillo roads and to four lanes between Ocotillo and Riggs roads.  McQueen currently is a two-lane road south of Queen Creek Road to the City’s Border at Hunt Highway. Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2009. The McQueen Road construction will include new curb, gutter, storm drain, sidewalks, streetlights, bike lanes, medians and landscaping. The consultant on contract with the City to design the roadway improvements is Ritoch-Powell & Associates, of Phoenix.  Pulice Construction, also of Phoenix, will be the contractor.
